Big-Metro Tactics in a Small Market
A shop in Brenham copying a Houston competitor's ad budget overpays for reach it doesn't need, while its map listing sits half-finished.
Texas marketing consulting
Straight answers on where your marketing money goes, what works in your market and what to fix first.
The Digital Elites is a Katy agency working with businesses across Texas, from Houston, Dallas–Fort Worth, Austin and San Antonio to towns like Tyler, Victoria and Lubbock. Consulting gives you a senior marketer's review of your website, Google Business Profile, ads, email and social, and a written plan in priority order.
We meet in person in the Houston area and over video everywhere else in Texas. Run the plan in-house, hand it to your current vendors or ask us to do it.
Overview
Consulting is an outside review of every channel that brings you customers, followed by a plan that says what to stop, what to keep and what to start.
Texas markets reward different things. A plumber in Katy is up against dozens of companies bidding on the same searches; a roofer in Nacogdoches often wins on a complete Google Business Profile and a steady stream of honest reviews. We look at your actual market, your numbers and your team's capacity, then recommend the few changes that will move enquiries.
There's no package to sell you at the end. If the right answer is to keep your current agency and fix two things, that's what the plan says.
Where money goes missing
Most owners we talk to pay for several things at once, from an SEO retainer to boosted posts, and nobody has checked how they fit together or which ones produce calls.
A shop in Brenham copying a Houston competitor's ad budget overpays for reach it doesn't need, while its map listing sits half-finished.
In Houston, San Antonio, El Paso and the Rio Grande Valley, many customers search and call in Spanish. Most sites and ads ignore them.
The SEO company reports rankings, the ad agency reports clicks, and nobody can say which channel booked last month's work.
Opening in San Antonio or Fort Worth with the same website and ad account leaves the new market with no pages, listing or budget of its own.
What's included
Each engagement is scoped to the size of your business and the decisions in front of you. Most Texas clients use some mix of the following.
We review your website, Google Business Profile, Search Console, GA4, ad accounts, email platform and social pages, and note what each one costs and returns.
Findings come in plain English, each with the evidence behind it and a rough estimate of the effort to fix it.
The audit checks:
We search the way your customers do in each city and county you serve, and record who shows up in the map pack, the ads and the organic results.
In bilingual markets we run the Spanish searches too and check whether any competitor answers them. In smaller towns the competition is often thinner than owners expect.
If GA4, call tracking or Google Ads conversions count the wrong things, we fix that first, because every recommendation after depends on it.
We set up CallRail or connect what you already have, and agree with you what counts as a real lead.
The plan lists what to do in the next 90 days, who does it, roughly what it costs and how you'll know it worked.
It's written so an in-house marketer, a freelancer or another agency can pick it up and run it without us in the room.
We read your current agency's reports and contract and tell you plainly what you're getting for the fee.
That includes checking you own your domain, ad accounts, Google Business Profile and hosting, which is often not the case.
Moving from Houston into Austin or Dallas–Fort Worth? We plan the location pages, the second Google Business Profile, separate campaigns and the budget the new market needs.
Each metro has its own competitors and cost per click, so the plan sets targets per market instead of averaging them together.
Monthly or quarterly sessions with your office manager or marketing hire to review numbers, answer questions and adjust the plan.
Houston-area clients meet us at our Katy studio or their own office. Everyone else in Texas meets with us over video.
Texas markets
A plan that works in Frisco won't automatically work in Beaumont or Laredo. Before we recommend anything, we answer a handful of questions about the specific markets you sell into.
For each market we look at:
These answers decide budgets. A fast-growing suburb like Prosper or Leander earns its own pages; a stable rural county often needs little more than a strong Google profile.
Measurement
Rankings, followers and traffic tell you people saw you. They don't tell you whether a customer called.
| Measure | What it tells you |
|---|---|
| Enquiries by channel | Calls and forms from search, ads, social and email, counted separately |
| Cost per enquiry | What each channel costs for every real lead it produces |
| Enquiries by market | Which cities and counties send work, and which ones you pay for anyway |
| Plan completion | How many of the 90-day actions actually got done, and by whom |
| Map pack visibility | Where your Google Business Profile shows across your service area |
| Seasonal pattern | How enquiries rise and fall through hurricane, hail and summer seasons |
Several of these need tracking most businesses don't have yet. We set it up in the first weeks so the next review compares real numbers.

How it works
We talk through your business, the Texas markets you serve and the decision you're trying to make. If consulting isn't the right fit, we say so on that call.
You share read-only access to your website, GA4, Search Console, ad accounts and Google Business Profile. Nothing gets changed at this stage.
We work through every channel and search your markets the way customers do, in English and in Spanish where it matters.
We present the 90-day plan in person in the Houston area or over video, and go through every recommendation until it makes sense to you.
Optional monthly or quarterly sessions check progress against the plan and adjust it as the numbers come in.
Not sure your marketing spend is going to the right places? Start with a short intro call.
Book a ConsultationOngoing advice
Some clients want a one-time plan. Others keep us on as an outside marketing lead who reviews the numbers and keeps vendors accountable.
Billed monthly, cancel any time. Most clients keep it running while the 90-day plan is in progress.
Each month includes:
If your team runs out of time to carry out the plan, we can take over specific channels. You decide, and the advice stays independent either way.
Compare
All three get the work done, in different ways. The right one depends on budget and who's free to do the work.
You get the audit, the strategy and the priorities from a senior marketer, and your own people or vendors carry it out. Best when you have hands but need direction.
We plan and run SEO, ads, social and email for you. Best when nobody on your team has the time or skills to execute.
Explore Done-for-You MarketingA full-time marketer in Houston, Dallas or Austin is a real salary commitment, and one person rarely covers SEO, ads and design well. Consulting alongside a junior hire often works.

We build the plan from your margins, your markets and your team's capacity, not from a template.

We won't promise a number before we've seen your market, your tracking and your current results, and you should be wary of anyone who does. What we will do is set up tracking so you can see enquiries and cost per lead by channel, then compare those numbers at every review.
A fixed fee for the audit and plan, quoted after the intro call based on how many channels and markets we review. Ongoing sessions are a fixed monthly fee with no long contract. Any ad spend or software you buy is paid directly to those providers.
Yes, in the Houston area. We're based in Katy and meet at our studio or your office across Greater Houston. Clients in Dallas–Fort Worth, Austin, San Antonio and the rest of Texas work with us over video calls and shared documents; we don't have offices in those cities.
Usually two to four weeks from when we receive access, depending on how many channels and markets are involved. Tracking fixes start in the first week, so you're not waiting for the full plan to stop the obvious leaks.
Often, yes. Many consulting clients keep their agency. We review what they're doing against your results and give you specific questions to ask and changes to request. If the agency is doing good work, we'll tell you that too.
Yes. We check how Spanish-speaking customers search in your market, whether your website, Google Business Profile and ads serve them, and which pages are worth writing properly in Spanish rather than running through a machine translator.
The Texas Data Privacy and Security Act took effect in July 2024 and covers how many businesses collect and use personal data, including for targeted advertising. We review your forms, tracking pixels and privacy notice as part of the audit and flag anything to raise with your attorney. We don't give legal advice.
You do. The audit, the plan and any tracking we set up belong to your business, and we ask only for the access we need. If we find accounts registered to a former vendor, we help you get them back under your name.
Tell us where you sell, what you're spending and what isn't working. We'll tell you plainly what we'd look at first and whether consulting makes sense for you right now.
