A Logo That Disappears at Distance
Thin script and fine detail look fine on a business card and turn into a smudge on a pylon sign beside a busy frontage road.
Graphic design in Katy, TX
Brand design you review across a table in our Katy studio, built to work on a storefront, a truck and a phone screen.
The Digital Elites designs logos, storefront and monument signage, vehicle wraps, menus, flyers and door hangers for Katy businesses. You meet our designers at 3323 Upland Spring Trce, look at proofs at real size, and leave with files your sign shop and printer can use straight away.
Opening a clinic in a new retail center or rebranding a service fleet that has run the same logo for years, the design starts with how people will see it: from the I-10 frontage road, in a strip-center lineup or on their front door.
Overview
Graphic design is everything customers see before they talk to you: your logo, your sign, your truck, your menu and the flyer on their door.
In an area growing as fast as Katy, where new subdivisions keep bringing new households and retail centers fill with competitors, the business people recognize gets the call. That comes from one consistent look, readable at a distance and applied the same way on signs, vehicles, print and your website. We design that system first, then every piece from it.
Design reviews happen in person at our Katy studio. Seeing a sign proof at full scale, or a wrap mock-up on your own vehicle model, catches problems a laptop screen hides.
Where brands break down
Most local brands we see aren't ugly. They just stop working the moment they leave a laptop screen and go onto a sign, a truck or a printed page.
Thin script and fine detail look fine on a business card and turn into a smudge on a pylon sign beside a busy frontage road.
Sign shops and wrap installers ask for vector files, and all you have is a JPEG from a past designer or a Canva download.
A wrap crammed with every service, three phone numbers and a long web address nobody can read while the van is moving.
The sign, the van, the menu and the Facebook page use different colors and fonts, so customers never connect them.
What's included
Each project is scoped to what you need designed and where it will be seen. These are the pieces Katy businesses ask us for most.
A new logo or a careful refresh of the one you have, tested at business-card size, on a sign at distance, in one color and as a social profile icon.
You see a small set of directions, pick one, and we refine it with you at the studio until it works on every surface.
A short brand guide with your logo versions, Pantone, CMYK and web color values, fonts, and examples of what to do and avoid.
Hand it to any printer, sign shop or new hire and the next piece matches the last one.
Sign designs sized to your actual frontage, with letter heights chosen for the distance and speed customers see them from.
Retail centers, HOAs and the city or county often set their own rules on sign size, color and lighting. We design to the criteria your landlord or permit office gives you, so approval doesn't stall your opening.
Full and partial wraps, door decals and fleet lettering laid out on templates for your exact make, model and year.
We keep the message to name, service, phone and one strong image, readable at a glance in Grand Parkway traffic, and supply print-ready files for your installer.
Every wrap file includes:
Print pieces for Katy restaurants, clinics and home service companies: menus, rack cards, intake forms, yard signs, door hangers and business cards.
Door hangers for new-build streets in Elyson, Cane Island or Firethorne get one clear offer and a trackable QR code, so you can see which neighborhoods responded.
Every final design comes as vector AI, EPS, SVG and PDF with correct bleed, crop marks and CMYK or Pantone colors, plus PNGs for web.
We talk directly to your printer, sign shop or wrap installer to confirm specs, so nothing gets reprinted because of a file problem.
Matching graphics for your Facebook cover, Instagram highlights, Google Business Profile photos and website banners.
Your online look then matches your truck and sign, so the van someone spotted in Cinco Ranch looks like the page they find later.
Signs and wraps
People see your sign or truck for a few seconds, usually from a moving car. Around Katy that means highway frontage roads, busy retail center lots and subdivision streets. A design that tries to say everything says nothing at that speed.
A sign or wrap that works shows:
We mock up each design at true scale and viewing distance before anything goes to the sign shop or installer, and review it with you in the studio.
Measurement
Whether you like a logo matters less than whether customers remember it and call the number printed under it.
| Check | What it tells you |
|---|---|
| Distance legibility test | Whether your name and number read from a car at the distance it'll be seen |
| Tracked numbers on print | Calls from wraps, yard signs or door hangers on their own tracking number |
| QR code scans | How many people acted on a flyer, menu or door hanger |
| Response by neighborhood | Which Katy subdivisions responded to a door hanger or mailer drop |
| Brand consistency | Whether sign, vehicle, print and social all match the brand guide |
| Reprints and file issues | Whether printers and installers got what they needed the first time |
Tracked numbers and QR codes go on print pieces only when you want to measure response. We set them up and tell you what each one brought in.

How it works
We meet at our Katy studio or at your location, look at what you have now and agree what needs designing first.
We gather sign dimensions, vehicle models, landlord or HOA criteria and printer specs before sketching anything.
You see first directions shown on your real storefront, vehicles and print pieces, not floating on a blank page.
We refine your chosen direction together and produce full-size proofs for signs, wraps and print.
You get print-ready files and a brand guide, and we confirm specs directly with your printer or installer.
Opening a new location or adding vehicles? Come by the studio and we'll talk through what you need.

Once your brand is set, the requests keep coming: a new menu, a seasonal flyer, a fourth van. A retainer keeps those quick and consistent.
No long contracts. Use it while you're busy with launches and pause it when things settle.
A retainer typically covers:
Every piece is built from your brand guide, so the hundredth flyer still matches the first logo.
Compare
Each gets you a logo. Only one gets you a brand that holds up on a sign, a truck and a menu.
Designers you meet in person, who test your logo at sign and wrap scale and hand your sign shop files it can use. Best when the brand goes on physical things.
Fast and cheap for a starter logo, but often you get a single file with no vectors, no guide and nobody to answer when the sign shop has questions.
See Our Design ServicesCanva and print-shop templates are fine for a quick social post. They rarely export the vector files and color specs a wrap or sign needs.
Ask Us About Your FilesIf you're just starting out and only need social graphics, we'll say so. Once money goes into signs or wraps, files that work properly matter.
Your plan
What we design first depends on where Katy customers actually come across your business.
We plan around:
That way the pieces customers see most get designed first, and nothing gets designed twice.

A fixed price per project, such as a logo and brand guide or a wrap design, or a fixed monthly retainer, quoted before we start. Printing, sign fabrication, installation and permit fees are paid to those providers and are separate. No long contracts.
Yes. If customers already know your logo, a refresh often makes more sense. We redraw it as clean vectors, simplify details that don't hold up at distance and tighten the colors, so it looks familiar but works on every surface.
Vector AI, EPS, SVG and PDF files for print and signage, PNG and JPG for web and social, in full-color, one-color and reversed versions, plus a brand guide with your color codes and fonts.
A logo and brand guide usually takes a few weeks, depending on how quickly you review directions. Wrap and sign designs go faster once the brand is set. Working toward an opening date in a new Katy retail center? Tell us the date and we'll plan back from it.
You do. Once the project is paid, the logo, brand guide and all final files belong to your business, with full rights to use them on any sign, vehicle or print piece.
